For clinicians and healthcare partners

Direct access to board-certified dermatology for your patients.

Dermatologic Services works with referral partners to improve access to timely dermatologic evaluation, telemedicine, and longitudinal treatment.

Pathway 1
Existing institutional and insurance referrals

For established New York referral relationships and eligible patients with participating Fidelis, Healthfirst, or commercial coverage.

Pathway 2
Direct-pay comprehensive consultation

For patients seeking a 30-minute comprehensive consultation directly with Dr. Shaikh, including oral treatment discussion, complex care, or second opinions.

Partner information

How the direct-pay pathway works for referring clinicians.

Appropriate for teledermatology

Acne (including hormonal and cystic patterns), rosacea, melasma and hyperpigmentation, hair loss evaluation, and second opinions on medically managed dermatologic conditions.

Requires in-person evaluation

Suspicious or changing pigmented lesions, procedures and biopsies, severe or rapidly progressive skin disease, and any concern where a physical examination is clinically necessary.

Expected response process

Patients book and pay directly and select an available 30-minute video consultation time, subject to availability in the state where the patient will be physically located during the appointment.

How records can be shared

With patient authorization, prior records, laboratory results, and relevant history can be shared securely before the visit. Patients may upload documents during intake. All care is documented in Office Ally (Practice Mate), the practice's chart of record.

Information back to the referring clinician

With written patient authorization, a concise post-visit summary including impression and treatment plan can be sent to the referring clinician after the consultation.
