What a Florida video consultation covers
Florida patients can book a comprehensive video consultation directly with Dr. Shaikh, including patients who split the year between Florida and another state where care is offered.
Because eligibility depends on where you are physically located at the time of the appointment, seasonal residents should book using the state they will actually be in that day.
Most of Florida observes Eastern Time; the western panhandle observes Central Time. Choose your own time zone when you book so the appointment time shown is the one you will keep.
- Seasonal residents: book using the state you will be physically located in on the day of the visit, not your mailing address.
- Sun exposure and heat are part of most Florida treatment plans, and your regimen is written with that in mind.
Who can book from Florida
- You will be physically located in Florida during the video appointment. Eligibility follows your location that day, not your mailing address.
- You are 18 or older.
- You are paying directly for the visit. This practice does not bill insurance, and Medicare or Medicare Advantage patients cannot book online — contact the practice instead.
- Follow-up visits are for patients Dr. Shaikh has already seen.
If you will be located outside the states where care is currently offered, the visit cannot be scheduled and no payment is taken.
Booking from Florida, step by step
- 01
Confirm the state you will be physically located in during the appointment, your age, and that you are paying directly rather than through insurance.

Choose an available time on Dr. Shaikh's calendar and pay for the visit before the appointment.
- 03
Complete the clinical intake form with your history, medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
- 04
Meet Dr. Shaikh by video for the full appointment — no intake clinician, no questionnaire in place of the consultation.
- 05
Receive a written treatment plan, with prescriptions sent to your pharmacy when clinically appropriate.
